Galora – Neighborhood Sharing

Galora website is created to share goods and products among your neighborhood. This way the food won’t ever go wasted and the needy will get their requirements fulfilled. Consumers can trade their food items for free or in exchange for other needful items such as fruits, vegetables, etc.

You will be required to register a free account first and then fulfill the details of your locality where you would like to trade your food products. People often share homemade food items on this site if they don’t want to waste them.

After signing in/registering, you can create a listing from the top right button “Create Listing”. A form page will be displayed, where you have to fill the required details so as to tell other consumers about your offer.

We established an API for the system to fetch data from the website such as users signing in, creating a listing, and all kinds of other interactions of the users on this website. This procedure took place with the help of Node.js, MySQL, and Google Sheets. All the fetched data is displayed on the google sheets.

The API contains all significant data that will let the users interact with other users/traders to purchase or exchange products. The sheet contains email details and the miles/distance details across how many miles the user has made their post or the listing. This listing will be shown to for example to the people 4 miles across. Every user across that many miles will get an email about the listing across their neighborhood. This listing will contain necessary information such as product name, Pincode, expiration date, product images, etc.
